Maida – After the brownish layer on the outside of the wheat is removed, the inner white portion of the wheat contains maida. Maida is obtained by passing flour through a fine mesh of 600 mesh per square inch after it has been ground in a flour mill. It is used to make various Indian bread products, such as puris, parathas, chappathis, naans, and kulchas. Maida is also used to make bread, biscuits, toast, and other bakery items. It is also known as General Purpose Flour by Indian chefs because it is widely used in festival season to prepare snacks and biscuits.
